The Civil Society Group presents Bring Em On, our entry in MoveOn.org's Bush In 30 Seconds competition.

This is the ad that was selected as one of the 15 finalists in MoveOn.org's Bush in 30 Seconds ad contest and then pulled from the competition out of deference to any families who might have objected to their loved one appearing on national TV in this way.

We understand and agree with MoveOn.org's decision and supported that decision by requesting that the ad be withdrawn. However, we believe that showing the faces of these people dignifies their sacrifice by humanizing them and showing others that there are indeed real people who are dying in this war, in a way that showing their names or their number simply cannot match.

"Bring 'Em On," produced by Mike Cuenca

Our intent has always been to honor our troops while critically examining the policies of the Bush administration. We believe that this type of expression is at the heart of the democratic values we are defending as a nation.

The ad received highly favorable reviews prior to being pulled from the MoveOn.org website:

"It's not hard to see why Cuenca's ad was among those chosen."Casey Logan, Pitch Weekly.

"devastating...dead perfect," Charles Taylor, salon.com.

"maybe...'Bring 'Em On' will serve MoveOn's purposes better," Julian Brooks, motherjones.com
